The assembly highlighted spring sports and activities, and the seniors participating in each activity. The group was led on a tour throughout the school as the beginning of their stay. The students arrived as a part of the St. Louis–Suwa Sister Cities exchange program. Men's basketball traveled to Highland, Illinois to compete in the Highland Shootout on Saturday, Jan. 10. The Statesmen played against Inglewood High School from California. After school on Tuesday, April 26, the Environmental Club is going on an Earth Day walk to clean up trash around Webster. The route is two and a half miles and those who wish to participate should meet in room 380 right after school and bring their own plastic bags to carry trash. Students evacuated the high school building about 10:20 a.m. in response to a fire alarm. 
The alarm was sounded after smoked filled a science classroom during an experiment.  
According to an email from the school, “The fire department responded quickly, and no one was in danger.”
