Out of an abundance of caution, spectators of tonight’s football game will be limited to two parents and/or family members of participants, including football players, band members, cheerleaders and members of the dance team.
According to an email from superintendent John Simpson, the district was “made aware of a direct threat in social media toward someone involved in tonight’s football game, who is not a WGSD student, parent, staff member or community member. The police are actively investigating the situation.”
Season ticket passes will not be accepted for entry into tonight’s game, but the game will be livestreamed on this link: https://www.youtube.com/c/StatesmenVision.
Additional precautions for the game include increased police presence and only one entrance point for spectators.
