Seniors Maggie, Noah and Daniel Lodes are cousins who graduated in May.

They all share their grandparents, Daniel Lodes and Bobbi Lodes.

In addition to the three seniors, there are three other Lodeses here at WGHS who are a part of the family: sophomore Kara Lodes (Maggie’s sister), junior Maddie Lodes (Daniel’s sister) and sophomore, Luke Lodes (Noah’s brother).
Maggie and Noah both have two younger siblings who attend other district schools, and Daniel has a younger sibling who does as well.

“I’ve grown up with (going to school with my cousins), so I never thought it was weird until I realized not a lot of other people experience this,” Maggie said.

“It feels like being part of an elite group, one that integrates into the system of the school and controls the people in secrecy,” Noah said.

All three have plans to attend secondary education of some sort after graduating.

Maggie will attend the University of Kansas and major in business with aspirations to have a career in that field.

Noah has a lawn care company, FreshCut Lawn Care, that he started when he was 11 years old. He plans to continue running this business.

While he is undecided on what school he will be attending, Noah is leaning towards Truman State with a finance major.

Daniel plans to attend Meramec and is unsure of his major.

“I don’t think it will be weird to not have my cousins at the same school as me, but it is funny because I’ve almost always been in school with at least one of my cousins. It’ll be fun to see what we all end up doing in the future,” Maggie said.

The cousins expressed their happiness in the assurance of remaining close after graduation and still seeing each other at holidays and other family events.
