Letter to Editor: Reader shares about international club

Dear Editor:

I have noticed in your paper that you have not mentioned many clubs outside of the high school.    I would like to inform the paper and the school of an organization for young women which not many people know about.

Job’s Daughters International is an organization for young women that provides an environment based on high morals, love of country, love of family and friends and respect for others. It helps girls get valuable leadership experience.

We also support a charity called the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (HIKE), which helps to purchase hearing assistive devices for hearing impaired children. We have risen over $5 million for HIKE and have given out more than 2,400 devices so far.

Our organization is spread throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, the Philippines and Brazil making Job’s Daughters an amazing opportunity to meet new people and see how girls live in other parts of the world.

This is an amazing organization that is not as well known. It is amazingly fun and more people should join it. We have our own chapter in Webster Groves at the Masonic Temple called Bethel 19.

For more information on our organization check out http://www.missouriiojd.org.

Sincerely,

Jenny Barnett
