Jazz band will play at 1 p.m. on Sept. 16, as part of the Old Webster Jazz and Blues Festival. The performance will be on the Allen Avenue and North Gore Avenue stage.
“I’m very excited for Jazz Fest this year. Last year was a ton of fun playing outside for a big crowd. Last year, there were tons of people. The only problem is the heat,” senior Jack Hendrix said.
The marching band played at the football game on Sept. 7, at 6 p.m. Due to the renovations on Moss Field, the game will be at Kirkwood High School. It will also play at all future home football games.
In addition, the choir will host the District Choir Festival at the high school from 9 to 3 p.m. on Sept. 20. Along with the high school choir, the Hixson choir will learn new music, and then the two choirs will perform their pieces. A free concert open to the public will be held at 6:30 p.m in the auditorium.
“I can’t wait to sing with the middle schoolers. I have a friend who is in sixth grade, and I can’t wait to see her,” junior Eleanor Szevery said.
Orchestra also has an upcoming concert. According to the Webster Groves High School calendar, the orchestra currently has a concert planned on Oct. 30, from 7 to 9p.m at the Webster Groves Presbyterian Church.
These events can be found on the Webster Groves High School website calendar.
