News Brief: Prom tickets are on sale

Senior Prom will be at Union Station on Friday, April 22. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Tickets are $75.

Tickets are now available for purchase; a link was emailed to all seniors to secure tickets. The password to purchase is each senior’s selected lunch pin.

Seniors must have all fines paid to purchase tickets, and the link will be live until Tuesday, April 19, at midnight. If the link does not work, the student should contact Kim Edwards at the Activities Office to check the status of fines.

Every senior is allowed one outside guest. If the guest is another WGHS student in ninth, tenth, or eleventh grade, the student should bring the guest to the activities office to check their fines and then they will be given the link and a passcode to purchase a ticket.

If the guest attends another high school or is a high school graduate up to 20 years old, the guest must complete the outside guest form that is available in the activities office and was mailed to all seniors. Once the form is complete and returned to the activities office, the guest will be given the link and a passcode to purchase a ticket.

The dress code for prom is formal and includes the school dress code that is normally enforced. “Formal” includes a dress, tuxedo, dress suit, including a tie or a bow tie, a dress shirt, which may include a vest or a cumberbund, and dress shoes. Dresses can be strapless if they fit properly and spaghetti straps are allowed.

Head coverings must be worn appropriately for the occasion. Inappropriate head coverings include baseball caps and inappropriate attire includes jeans shorts or T-shirts. If a student is not in dress code they will be asked to change.

This information is available in the email with prom information sent out to all seniors.
