Alumna Maddy Raimondo will join the Webster Groves School District as an assistant principal for the 2020-2021 school year.
“I am really excited to return to Webster Groves. The community and the schools had a huge impact on who I became as a person. The guidance I received from my teachers and coaches inspired me to pursue education. I can’t wait to be a part of such a special place again,” Raimondo said.
Raimondo graduated from Webster Groves High School in 2004. She went on to get her bachelor’s degree in arts in history from Grinnell College in Grinnell, IA, and a master’s degree in arts of teaching from Washington University in Saint Louis.
Raimondo worked at Kirkwood High School for nine years. During those nine years, she was a teacher, coach, and PLC leader. She founded the Social Justice Club and Circle of Friends while she was there as well.
In 2016, Raimondo was named Kirkwood High School Teacher of the Year.
After her time at Kirkwood, Raimondo worked as an assistant principal at Lindbergh High School and became an National Conference for Community and Justice of Metropolitan St. Louis certified Facilitrainer in 2019.
