Webster basketball hosted Marquette on Jan. 4.

Senior Courtney Ramey was cleared to play first game of the 2018 season from injured wrist. Ramey started the off the game by scoring a jump shot 3 pointer to put the Statesmen on the board first.
The first timeout was called by Webster with 38 seconds left in first period. The score was 17-10 Statesmen over Marquette.
Second period ended 39-18 with Webster far in the lead. Ramey matched with Senior Carte’are Gordon became a force. Not even four Marquette players could stop powerhouse Gordon from leading the game in points, Gordon dropped 22 points. Ramey had just 15.
The third quarter ended 62-33 Webster. Domination pursed for the rest of the game.
Webster won 73-43 against Marquette.
The Statesmen’s next game is versus Wheeler, GE at Wheeling on Jan. 6, at 6 p.m.
