Band mattress sale coming Oct. 20
Band will host its fifth annual mattress sale in Roberts Gym Oct. 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to raise funds for its music program.
On sale will be twin, full, queen, king and California king size mattresses from Simmons Beautyrest, Southerland and Malouf.
GSA begins Soctober clothing Drive
Gay-Straight Alliance invites students and staff to contribute to Socktober, an annual, month-long clothing drive, during second hour classes.
The classroom with the most donations by Halloween will earn a food prize.
If a second hour class would like to participate but does not have a Socktober collection box, the teacher may contact Susan Riegel in room 256.
Runners start the 5K and One-Mile Fun Run on Selma Avenue for the 2014 Ivory Crockett Run4Webster on Oct. 18, 2014.
15th Ivory Crockett Run coming Oct. 20
Webster Groves School District Foundation will sponsor the 15th annual Ivory Crockett Run for Webster on Oct. 20, in front of the high school.
Activities include a one-mile run, a 5K run, Fredbird at the 100-yard dash, a pancake breakfast, children’s activities.

Botanical Garden extends Flora Borealis
St. Louis Botanical Garden will extend its Flora Borealis nighttime experience, until Oct. 20.
Flora Borealis, an interactive light and sound show, allows visitors to connect with the nature surrounding them.
Garden doors open at 7 p.m. for all ticket holders to see the garden before the show.
Flora Borealis will begin at sundown and include live entertainment on select nights.
Ticket prices range from $10 to $25 depending on age and night.
