Seniors, guests prepare for prom

“It’s a final Farewell to those that I love,” senior Joey Azar said about what prom meant to him.

One senior, however said she couldn’t care less about prom in an ECHO survey of 28 seniors.

This year’s senior prom will be at Union Station on April 18, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

There is no overall theme this year, and the DeeJay will be Complete DJ from a previous dance. The dance cost $55 per ticket.

There will be small finger foods and sweets including cheeses, baguettes, fruits, cookies, chocolates, cheesecake and brownies available, and drinks include sodas, coffee, tea and others.

The photographer for the night is Lifetouch and they will sell pictures for $15 a sheet with special pricing for more than one purchase. There will also be free photo booth.

The dress code for the night is billed as formal. Normal school dress code applies so no head covering, no bare midriffs, and appropriate skirt length is required. Shoes and sandals are required at all times, no jeans of any color, shorts, extremely short skirts, or low cut dresses in the front or back will be permitted. Men will be required to wear a coat and tie, no jeans of any color, shorts, T-shirts, or baseball caps may be worn. There will be no sagging or bagging allowed at the prom.
