“Lego Movie” hit theaters Feb. 7, and it was a huge hit for all ages and had everybody singing “Everything is Awesome” as they walked out of the theater.
The film’s primary voice actors are Chris Pratt (Emmet), Will Ferrell (Lord Business) Elizabeth Banks (Wildstyle/Lucy), Will Arnett (Batman), Morgan Freeman (Virtruvius) and Liam Neeson (Good Cop, Bad Cop).
Emmet is a simple, ordinary LEGO man, but soon encounters Wildstyle and mistakenly comes across the key to saving the LEGO world. Emmet then takes on the role as “The Special,” the only possible hope to saving the world from Lord Business.
Lord Business plans to use the Kragle, his weapon, to freeze the entire LEGO world and make it perfect in his eyes. It’s up to Emmet and company to fight through Lord Business’s army and destroy the Kragle.
The movie runs for about one hour-and-40 minutes long and has a PG rating, which makes it great fun for everybody.
It is directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, both of whom worked together on the successful films “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs I & II,” “21 Jump Street” and soon to open “22 Jump Street.”
“LEGO Movie” is a fun family movie that’ll get anybody interested right from the beginning of the movie. Whether it’s laughing at the consistently clean, but funny humor or being in awe of the ending, the movie doesn’t seem to fail to entertain and impress.
