St. John’s Mercy hosted a blood drive that allowed students to donate blood to help patients in need of it March 6.
“The blood drive went smoother than anticipated because of volunteer and donor turnouts,” said Student Council member and senior James Groesch.
“I’ve never given blood before,” said junior Maurice Brown. “I feel like if I had the chance to help someone out, I would,” added Brown.
Brown went on to donate blood and also volunteered to help orchestrate the drive.
Student Council adviser, Cole stated getting 110 students to donate were the goal by the end of the day.
