History museum to feature Dr. King

Missouri History Museum will hold a four-day celebration in January to honor the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The first event will be on Jan. 16, and the celebration will continue through Jan. 19.

The events will include “Let it Resound: The Legacy of Black Composers,” a concert highlighting songs of social justice, performed by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, and a yoga class inspired by nonviolence.

The museum will also host events for families throughout Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including an activist panel, activism workshop and scavenger hunt.
