New Activities Office secretary Ashli McDonald advices students to join high school clubs.

Activities Office secretary, Ashli McDonald, is a new staff member, whose experience in high school with daycare inspired her to work in a school.

Ashli has been fantastic since day one. She came in with a great attitude about learning all of the systems to make things run smooth and has done a fantastic job at finding ways to make things even better,” activities director Chris Johnson said.

McDonald went to Webster. She was a part of the Echo publications program, played lacrosse, was a student council member and worked at the daycare.

McDonald said that because of daycare, she was inspired to work in a school. She is excited about the environmental club because of the mini field trips they take.

McDonald would like to see someone start a hiking club. There is not currently a club for hiking, but to start a club, students should send an email to the Activities Office and find a teacher to sponsor the club.

The activities office is not considering any new activities for the school year nor making any changes to the events planned.

McDonald said she loves clubs because they help people find their community and make it easier for people to connect with others.

To find and join a club, students should check the list of clubs on the high school website.
