21 Savage’s “American Dream” tour brings St. Louis’ Hollywood Casino Amphitheater to life.

21 Savage knows how to work a crowd. Savage brought his American Dream to the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater on May 19.

Savage’s legendary songs that sit at the top of the Billboard Global 200, as well as songs shared with famous creators such as Drake or JID, created electric mosh-pits and several rounds of crowd surfing.

Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, known as 21 Savage, is a famous British-born rapper, songwriter and record producer. Savage became a legendary rap artist due to Savage’s song “Back Account,” which ranked number 12 on the Billboard hot 100.

Savage got on the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater stage shortly before 9:40 p.m. after several openers, including Nardo Wick, Marc B, 21 Lil Harold, 1504 Mutebaby, Real Recognize Rio, DJ Steez and DJ Moneygud, gave crowd cheering worthy performances.

Marc B hyped up the crowd for Savage playing classic songs such as “Party in the U.S.A.” by Miley Cyrus and “Love” by Keyshia Cole and teasing the crowd by saying that 21 Savage wasn’t ready to come out until the crowd was excited enough.

Savage performed three acts with each act depicted by different imagery. Savage played nostalgic videos on the stage screens and pictured renaissance art that was soon taken over by images of Savage surrounded by fire during his first act.

In the second act, depictions of violence were shown by a young boy washing blood off his hands and a gun appearing in the pages of the Bible. In his third act, things turned sentimental and wild as the concert came to a bittersweet end.

Savage ended his Missouri concert with his most recently popular song “Redrum” on his newest album “American Dream” and told his St. Louis fans that they are the most “Good looking, hard working and loyalist fans.”

Savage is visiting 30 states in America. His next stop is Chicago, Ill., where he will be performing at Credit Union 1 Amphitheater at 7 p.m. on May 21.
