The Spanish Club is in the process of creating a Spanish National Honor Society.
The club has wanted to create the honor society for two years now, but the pandemic delayed it severely. The efforts are currently run by Senior Nora Kelty.
They still plan to have the Spanish Club operate, but the Spanish National Honor Society would go along with it.
The Spanish National Honor Society would do a lot of community service for the Spanish communities, such as families in need or schools in need.
“It made sense to have a Spanish National Honor Society since there is already both a German National Honor Society and a French National Honor Society,” Kelty said.
If all goes well, it will be fully operational in April. It will be mostly a student run project.
