Administrative assistant Camille Denton handles mostly attendance a few random projects for assistant principal Madeline Craig.

Denton was born in St. Louis and spent most of her childhood life in the Grove area of STL. Then at around 11 years old, she moved to Kirkwood, where she has lived ever since. She is currently a college student at St. Louis Community College – Meramec Campus.

Outside of work she goes to school, is a textile artist, plans photoshoots and spends time with her family and friends.

Denton has also had quite a few different jobs including being a photographer, a swim instructor, a beauty advisor, a police cadet and a cashier. Her most recent one was being a class 2 cadet working in records for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Her new job as administrative assistant is very different from her previous jobs. The most similar one probably being the cadet job because she had to take lots of phone calls and deal with lots of paperwork. This is also the first time that she has worked in a school environment.

So far, she is liking Webster very much.

“It’s an interesting feeling being a graduate of KHS and working here. Since I’m young, it feels like just yesterday I was a senior in high school. It’s nice seeing the students because it makes me realize how time flies. This job is fast paced and can be crazy at times, I kind of enjoy that aspect of it. My co- workers also make me feel like my work matters and that’s a great feeling,” Denton said.

Denton’s favorite part of the job is getting to know the students and she even thinks that some of them are funny and good people.
