Young Poets Perform is a free event that will take place on April 22, from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
The opening and closing of the event will feature musicians, junior Gant Gibson’s band and senior Sonia Bergfeld. Young Poets has been organized by senior Sarah Kaul and Gibson and is sponsored by the Branch Creative Writing Club that has Rita Chapman as the sponsor.
Any poets wishing to read their work should contact either organizer.
“We are hoping to get at least 15-20 poets to read and so far we only have around five, I think students should absolutely get involved,” Kaul said.
