Women’s Varsity basketball will advance to the Missouri State Championship after its 45-41 win against Cor Jesu last Saturday, March 11.  This will be the first time the team has played in the State Semifinals.

Webster Groves will face Kickapoo in the Semifinals on Friday, March 19, at 6  p.m. at Missouri State University in Springfield.

This season has been challenging for everyone due to the pandemic.

About how COVID has affected their season, senior Ja’mise Bailey said, “Covid, of course, has changed everything. My senior year consisted of wearing masks everywhere including basketball games. I’ve had to quarantine once during this season, cancelling some of our games. With all of that, I’ve managed to work through everything going on and make a positive impact on the school and for the basketball team.”
