Prom planners hope for June or July event

WGHS faculty has been working to schedule a Senior Prom for Class of 2020 sometime this year. No information has been finalized yet; however, the current possible dates were based on when senior graduation is.

Clifford Cliff Ice, assistant athletics director said, “We will do everything within our resources to give our seniors a safe and enjoyable prom experience.”

The prom is most likely going to be on a Saturday, before the senior graduation from 8-11 p.m. The current possible dates are June 20, with graduation on June 26. The second date could be on July 18, with graduation on July 24.

The ticket cost for prom is going to be lowered from the usual cost, due to the financial sensitivity of the virus. 

The location is undecided, depending on when places start reopening. Faculty hopes to use the Planetarium, but Roberts Gym is a last resort option.
