Senior Prom will be April 27, from 8-11 p.m. at Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark.
The night was described as “glitz and glam” by Lauren Maedge, one of the 2019 prom coordinators, since the theme is Roaring ‘20s.
“’Roaring 20s’ was definitely my favorite [theme] out of all the options,” senior Leah Cooke said. She is a senior attending prom, and she voted for Roaring ‘20s over the other possible options like “enchanted,” “Paris” and”Under the Sea.” A poll was sent out for students to vote.
The night will consist of food and dancing. Students will come in and be seated at tables where they will be offered a variety of foods such as macaroni and cheese, American sliders and veggie spring rolls. There will be a dessert bar at the end of the dance that will contain a chocolate fountain and an ice cream sundae station.
There will be a photobooth and lots of dancing with music by the DJ of the night, Millennium Productions.
Tickets went on sale Monday April 15, for $65 per person in the activities office. Outside guest forms will be available then too. There is no limit on the number of outside guests, but there is only one outside guest per person, and he or she needs to be older than a freshman but younger than 21.
“We were originally supposed to have our prom at the Chase, but because of the new management, it was difficult to find a date,” senior Evelyn Trampe, member Student Council member, said about the event venue.
In order to attend the prom students need to be a senior or be with a senior.
