Webster’s swimming Stateswomen are sharing the love at State this weekend.

The Webster relay team of freshman Parker Hagemann, juniors Katherine Kempf and Isi Albers, and sophomore Kendra Howard that’s spearheaded the Stateswomen all year is leading the team at State this weekend, after qualifying for finals in two events yesterday.

The group qualified in 10th to swim again today in the 200-freestyle relay, also qualifying for the finals in the 400 relay. In the 200 medley relay, Kempf, Albers, senior Haley O’Brien and junior Caroline Kinstler took 39th of 75 teams.

Howard also took 13th place in the individual medley to qualify for today’s finals. Her impressive performance so far also has included a 21st-place finish in the 100-free. Hagemann finished 20th in the 200-free individually, while Kempf placed 23rd.

The Stateswomen have had an all-around strong season, taking second place in the Suburban XII South conference meet last week.

The State finals events will take place this afternoon and evening.
