One Direction’s latest album is titled “Made in the AM.” Although 2015 was a turbulent year for the band, they still managed to produce this amazing blend of songs.

The album was dropped in November 2015, produced through Columbia Record and Syco Music. It can be purchased for 14.99 on iTunes, or at 1.29 a song. As of now, the band consists of four members: Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Niall Horan.

The album’s has 13 total songs, and it’s first “Hey Angel”, is strangely empowering and sweet. “Drag Me Down” is next. This song made it into the Billboard Top 100 and the Billboard Trending 140 chart, though other songs might have been more deserving of radio recognition. The third track, “Perfect,” was definitely directed at Taylor Swift, as Harry Styles and her dated back in 2012.

Skipping ahead to the sixth song which is “If I Could Fly,” a beautiful song that is full of emotion. It’s songs like “If I Could Fly,” “I Want to Write You a Song” and “History” that help hold the ‘Directioners,’ or fans of One Direction, over until the end of the break.

The album closes out with the song “History,” that reminisces on the good times the band and their fans have had together over the past five years. This song is upbeat but is jam packed with emotions for anyone who is invested in One Direction.

All of the “Made in the AM” tracks are very different from each other, but they all have a personal feeling. They are easy to connect to, and it is easy to tell that a lot of effort was put into this album. Overall, it sends out a central message of love to all One Direction’s dedicated fans and is very fitting for their recent hiatus.
