National Honors Society hosts its annual blood drive for patients at Mercy Hospital on Monday Nov. 14. The drive will be in the secondary gym from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

NHS sponsor Amy Rowland said the students assist Mercy Hospital staff by “working the registration table, keeping students company in the donation room, and handing out snacks after students donate.”

The blood drive is free but for donating students receive a free T-shirt, compliments of Mercy Hospital.

Donating blood is a small act that can truly change someone’s life. To sign up one must be 17 years or older. Prospective volunteers should  fill out this survey: http://tinyurl.com/wghsbloodrive or scan the QR code:blood-drive-code
