Two events in St. Louis were cancelled this afternoon due to inclement weather in the forecast.
The 44th annual Great Forest Park Balloon Race was to kick of the weekend with the balloon glow tonight starting at 7 p.m., but due to wet field conditions and predicted storms, it was cancelled. However, the race is still scheduled for tomorrow with children’s activities and live entertainment starting at noon, sky divers at 3 p.m. and opening ceremony for the race at 3:30 p.m.
The Taste of St. Louis was also scheduled tonight at the Chesterfield Amphitheater in Chesterfield Village, but according to its website, it was cancelled due to lighting. The event will return tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
