All schools in the Webster Groves School District went into lockdown mode during first hour until about 9:50 a.m. as police looked for a suspect in the area.
The school sent out a telephone blast to parents to inform them of the situation and also when the lockdown was lifted. Both telephone blasts indicated that all students were safe.
Dr. Jon Clark, principal, commended students and staff for their following the lockdown procedures so well.
After investigating, the police said the original report of shots fired was false.
