Women’s soccer will face Westminster Christian Academy at Selma Field on May 5, at 5:45 p.m.

Women’s soccer has a record of 13-3 and last season had a record of 22-3-1. It is ranked sixth in the final statewide Class 3 schools and third in the large school All-Metro STLTODAY final rankings.

About how the previous year went, junior Charlotte Kennedy, goalie, said, “Good, lots of first timers. This year we have more individual talent than last and are combining with each other to become an overall better team.”

The team placed third overall in a Oklahoma City tournament March 27 to March 29.
“It was a completely different style of play,” said Kennedy. “We had a breakout season last year, so this year we have to have even higher expectations for ourselves and the team overall,” Kennedy explained.

The team went 2-1 in Oklahoma City. “The game we lost was in the eighth round of penalty kicks. Our overall goal for this season is to advance to the State tournament,” head coach Chris Allen said.
“The team has been focusing on keeping possession of the ball, communication and team work,” Allen said.
