About 270 students attended student council sponsored Back in Black Dance in the school cafeteria, Aug 25.
“We use all the money for upcoming Student Council events and next year’s dance” said Kristin Cole, Student Council sponsor. “We made $1,240 in pre-sales (before the dance) and $2,300 on the night of the dance. We made a $1,305 profit this year,” said Cole.
“Rumor has it that the Back in Black Dance is becoming less and less popular every year.” Liz Gilstrap, freshman, said.  “I went, and I had a blast. I think everybody should go to the dance.”
The cost was around $450 for the DJ (disc jockey) and another $550 for the Techno Bubbles with the total price being around $1,000.
“It was a great great dance,” said senior Kate Wylie.
The tickets cost $10 week ahead of the dance and $15 at the door. This is the only school dance where students can buy a ticket at the door.
“The Back in Black dance is a blast, and everyone should attend it no matter what age or year,” junior Peter Otto said.
