National Honor Society member and senior Michael Becker is Webster’s number one male golfer, has the highest number of goals during the hockey game season and a 3.95 GPA. He also just got accepted to Mizzou.
In golf, Becker received the Match Medalist Honor, shooting a two over par score of 38 at the beginning of the 2011 season.
At a tournament at the Lindbergh Invitational at Pevely Farms, Webster placed fourth out of 12 teams, and Becker placed third overall in the 58 golfers field and led the team in scoring once again. He has been on the Varsity golf team since 2009 to 2011. He played in the Gateway Junior PGA Program in 2010.
With the jersey number of 17, Becker has played 27 hockey games this past season and scored a total of 29 goals, 28 assists and 57 points. He had the highest number of goals scored of his team.
“He is a good friend and an even better hockey player,” said senior Jordie Oliver, another hockey player. Becker was the Assistant Captain 2010 to 2011.
Becker was December Senior of the Month and earned the Top Hat Award.
“Mike is a hard worker, and once he commits to something, he throws his whole self into it,” said Becker’s mom, Tiffany Becker.
Becker has been on the honor roll though out the 2007 to 2011 years.
Becker has worked with the Habitat for Humanity group in 2011 and the Rock Hill Ministry.
