Rowdies, Pioneers go at it on Twitter

After the men’s basketball team’s 88-66 rout of Kirkwood at senior night in Roberts Gym last night, the Webster and Kirkwood student cheer organizations went toe-to-toe on Twitter, with stltoday.com high school sports writer David Kvidahl serving as judge.

The Roberts Rowdies had a message for Kvidahl.

Kirkwood had the nerve to ask the question…

But the Pioneers seemed to forget that Webster brought 900 students to the men’s soccer State semifinal last November.

Kvidahl had the Statesmen’s backs once again, pointing out that there may have been some jealousy prompting one of the signs the Pioneers brought last night.

While Kvidahl seemed to side with the Rowdies, he also had a bone to pick with the WG student section, which used newspapers as pre-game props to turn attention away from the Pioneers’ players as they were introduced…. We feel you, David!

Ultimately, none other than the ECHO got the final say as to who won the battle of the student sections.

Point Statesmen.
