Due to recent events involving the mass deportations and violence from ICE agents, a national protest amongst schools from across the United States was held on Friday, Jan. 30.

Amongst these schools, Webster’s students protested the events with a peaceful walkout that began at the high school at 10:15 a.m. where the students walked to City Hall and spoke with the Mayor of Webster Groves, Laura Arnold.

Following this, students proceeded to walk down Elm towards Big Bend where they passed Hixson Middle School students who were also protesting.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, there were more than 1,000 Webster Groves students who participated in the walkout.
