Echo staff received its rating from National Scholastic Press Association, and a senior Sam Enlund placed in Missouri Interscholastic Press Association’s October Photo of the Month Contest.
NSPA gave the 2024-25 print version of the Echo a First Class Rating with a Mark of Distinction for presentation.
The judge said, “Your publication does a great job sourcing your articles, writing with engaging quotes, and including a wide variety of topics that relate to your student body and cover school events. Most stories are written with objectivity, even when covering topics that are high-stakes and high-energy. Your visuals support your content well and have thoughtful captions and design elements – the word searches are a big favorite. This adds a great level of personality to each issue.”
