Missouri Interscholastic Journalism Association announced its September Photo of the Month winners.
Senior Elise Leon tied for third place with a photo of junior Kaniya Farmer’s dance performance at the Sept. 6, football game, and junior Arianna Peper earned an honorable mention for a photo of senior Emmet Shank at the Sept. 26, swimming tournament.
The judge said about the third place photo, it “has perfect composition, great use of depth of field to blur the background a little bit (but not too much) and nice exposure.”
