STUCO officers chosen for 2015-16 school year

Next year’s student council officers were elected March 26, during sixth hour voting.

Junior Maggie Parker won president, sophomore Kurt Krautmann won vice president, junior Daphne Armstrong won secretary, junior Maddie Winkelman won treasurer, juniors Erin Wieselman won historian, and junior Anna Dodson won Public Relations.

The 22 candidates were nominated March 4, and started campaigning the week after spring break.
“Anybody can be nominated as long as they have been a member from the previous year,” said Kirstin Cole, student council sponsor.

None of the candidates ran unopposed for the six officer positions.

Nominations for president were juniors Parker and Becca Riley.

Nominations for vice president were junior Allison Gilmore, and sophomores Jackson and Krautmann.

Nominations for secretary were junior Daphne Armstrong, sophomore Tia Marshall and freshman Lexi Barro.

Nominations for treasurer were juniors Helen O’Brien, Billy Johnson and Winkelmann, and freshmen Katie Wollard and Elliot Scheer.

Nominations for historian were juniors Wieselman and Holly Nash and freshmen Ashli Wagner and Jahrae Posley-Jones

Nominations for public relations were Dodson, and freshmen Connie Rhodes, Lidia Goben, Arden Armstrong and Allee Clendennen.
