Some heavy construction this year will remove the annex, create a new parking lot, and almost finish a new wing on the school.
The process will start by the new parking lot added to the junior parking lot.
Then the annex will be demolished, forcing some classes to be held in the Christ Lutheran Church across the street and auto-shop classes to be in the courtyard.
When all construction to the school is finished, the whole building will be re-arranged. The Little Theatre will be behind the auditorium, and the science, music and art departments will be re-done. The art department will be on the first floor.
“The outside of the building will look the same besides the new wing, but the inside will look totally different,” said principal Jon Clark.
Clark added the architects want to match the rest of the building with Roberts’s gym but, keep the style of a one hundred year old school in tact.
