Mizzou hosts
Engineering Weekend
Mizzou’s College of Engineering will host its Engineering Weekend for high school 11th and 12th graders on Oct. 15 and 16. The fee for weekend is $65. Students who are intereest should RSVP by Oct. 8 at meschighschoolweekend@gmail.com.
Ivory Crocket Run
Ivory Crocket, 2004 WGHS alumne and world-record holder for the 100 yard dash, will host the seventh annual Ivory Crocket Run on Oct. 2. A 4-mile run, 1-mile walk and a 100-yard dash for children 12 and under will be featured, along with meeting Fredbird.
School I.D.s, picture packets
are available for pick up
School I.D.s are available for students who had their picture taken during the late picture day. Also picture packets are also now avalible.
Freshmen can pick up I.D.’s and picture packets in Unit 102, sophomores in Unit 157, juniors in Unit 100 and seniors in Unit 124.
Eagle Scout Award
Nick Hubbard, senior, earned the Eagle Scout Award this past June, for building a large bookshelf for the the WGHS preschool.
Shoeman Water Project
If any students have a pair of extra shoes and can bring them to Kristin Cole’s room 253, it will help raise money for the Shoeman Water Project. Look for the large shoe on the door for donation drops.
